Partner organisations:

Kwa Wazee is a non-profit organisation based in Nshamba, Kagera region. Its projects target to improve the life of elderly people, people living with HIV/ AIDS, AIDS orphans and children and youth with special needs.

ELCT, The North-West Diocese of the Evangelic Lutheran Church of Tanzania is committed to the provision of spiritual and socio-economic services to the community through evangelism, education, economic empowerment, cooperation, health and diaconal work. For this end, the diocese leads several institutions.

 

Tasks:

The INTERTEAM Country Programme Tanzania contributes to the improvement of access to health care and education services for children and youth with disabilities or other special needs. Kwa Wazee is an agile NGO with many projects. One challenge is an effective and efficient management of all of these activities. The North-West Diocese of Evangelic Lutheran Church of Tanzania is in the process of working towards an increased efficiency of their services and an improved structure of the organisation. Therefore, a professional who empowers the organisations and its staff regarding the following tasks:

  • Project management, monitoring and evaluation (Kwa Wazee)
  • Documentation and reporting (Kwa Wazee)
  • Fundraising and proposal writing (Kwa Wazee)
  • Planning, budgeting, accounting, controlling and marketing for the Kwa Wazee project “Vijana Bicycle Centre” that supports youth to learn skills on bicycle assembling, maintenance and trading
  • Change management, especially resource analysis (ELCT)
  • Recommendations on practical measures for the ELCT management

General requirements:

  • Successfully completed studies
  • Min. 2 years of professional working experience
  • Minimum age of 26 years
  • Domicile in Switzerland
  • Good physical and mental health
  • High level of social and self-competence
  • Intercultural sensitivity
  • Interest in development policy and social conditions
  • Willingness to an adapted life style

Specific requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Business Administration
  • Profound knowledge in project management, monitoring and evaluation
  • Relevant experience in fundraising and proposal writing
  • Ability to transfer knowledge to staff members
  • Well elaborated computer skills
  • Very good knowledge of written and oral English
  • Willingness to learn the Kiswahili language
